POST-CRO Researchers Participate in an International Scientific Conference in Novi Sad
At the international scientific conference Contemporary Trends in Psychology (STuP 2026), held from 22 to 24 October 2026 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, the paper entitled Work and Social Resources as Predictors of Life Satisfaction Among Employed Women in Post-Transition Croatia was presented.
The paper was authored by Maša Tonković Grabovac and Dario Pavić from the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb, and Iva Černja Rajter from the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences.
The study examined the relationships between working conditions, work–family conflict, family social support, and life satisfaction among employed women in Croatia. The findings indicate that greater job control and stronger support from partners and other family members are associated with higher life satisfaction, whereas work–family conflict is associated with lower life satisfaction.
The research highlights the importance of both occupational and family resources for the well-being of employed women in the context of post-transition social changes. The study was supported by the project Post-Transition Processes in Croatian Society: Migration, Education, Identity, and Sustainable Urban Development (POST-CRO), conducted at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb.
